World and 6x National Champion Powerlifter, Marisa Inda, shares some foundational tips to improve your recovery.



1. Sleep-Sleep is such a powerful fatigue fighter that it’s likely more effective than all of the other items on this list combined. In fact, if insufficient sleep is a chronic occurrence, it comes close to making even the best efforts on all other fatigue-fighting lines null and void.

2. Food-Second, to sleep, the most powerful fatigue fighter is food. The less food you eat, the more difficult fatigue management becomes. While a properly balanced maintenance diet can definitely help with recovery, the further calories dip below maintenance, the more profoundly fatigue has a tendency to accumulate. With dieting, this is just fact of life and must be accepted. During fat loss dieting, that is precisely why making sure the other fatigue fighters like proper training management and sleep are in order.

3. Fun and Low Stress Activities-Third, on our list of powerful fatigue fighters, engaging in relaxing activities that aren’t strenuous or stressful can be of great help.

4. Compassionate Touching-Compassionate touching is the standard sports science term for the recovery/adaptation modality of all forms of intimate human contact. This includes formal sport massage and runs the gamut all the way to what you were probably thinking.

How To Enter

Please email your before AND after pictures to challenge@jtsstrength.com ONLY after you have agreed to and followed all of the rules stated above and below.

  1. You must have a sign that says “Powerbuilding August 2021” in the before picture. Before Picture Being a Front AND Back Double Bicep Pose and include your Current PRs in the Squat, Bench and Deadlift.
  2. The after picture must say “Powerbuilding October 2021“. After Picture also being a Front AND Back Double Bicep Pose and include the heaviest sets of Squat, Bench and Deadlift you did during the contest (these could be 1rm or Rep Maxes)
  3. There must be a current newspaper with the print date visible in BOTH pictures.
  4. The BEFORE PICTURE is due by end of day, August 22nd, 2021 11:59pm PST.
  5. The AFTER PICTURE are due by October 30th, 2021 11:59pm PST (but can be submitted starting October 23rd)
  6. Late entries will NOT be accepted.
  7. You MUST send your after picture as a side-by-side comparison (before /after) picture to the SAME email thread you sent your “before” picture to. (Simply reply to the original email). If you send them as separate pictures, they will not be considered.
  8. In the body of the email, you must list the email address associated with your JuggernautAI and RP Diet App accounts.

How Winners Will Be Chosen

  1. This is not just an abs contest, we are looking at overall transformation. This means an increase in muscularity and/or body composition change, you could win by doing a Muscle Gain or Fat Loss Diet.
  2. Top 3 female and Top 3 male winners will be chosen by votes via a panel of judges from our sponsors, improvements in lifting numbers will be used as a tie breaker.
  3. Why the posing? Because we aren’t just looking at abs as criteria of change- poses are the best way to see overall body composition improvement AND this is Powerbuilding so how could we not include some!

You must read through and agree to all of the following rules in order to enter and be considered for winning:

  1. You must meet the following criteria from the start of the challenge to the end of the challenge:
    a) Be a JuggernautAI App user
    b) Be a RP Diet App User
  2. By entering, you grant Juggernaut the explicit right to repost your pictures on our social media sites, our website, or in any other Juggernaut material.
  3. There will not be any automatic replies as this is a manual sorting process.
  4. If you do not agree with or follow all of the rules listed above, your entry will not be considered.
  5. If there is any suspicion of photo alteration, entry is disqualified without appeal.
