Adjusting Training for Beginners to Advanced

Written by

Beginners, intermediate and advanced athletes have different needs to help them improve the most and maximize their abilities in both the short and long terms.

There are 2 main factors that you must account for when training athletes of different levels. More beginner athletes need to focus more of their energy on developing muscle mass and athletes of different qualification will require different frequencies of overload training.

In this video, Chad Wesley Smith discusses:

-How to classify athletes into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced categories.

-How to design Hypertrophy overload training.

-How to organize long term training cycles for athletes of different levels.

-How SRA curve length is affected by qualification.
