Juggernaut Jiu Jitsu Training Session

Take a step behind the scenes at Juggernaut and observe some of our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes in action. In today’s session we follow Diogo Lacerda, a brown belt and professor at Gracie Barra Huntington Beach, as he performs the main portion of today’s training session. Lacerda is one month away from competing at No-Gi World Championships. Today he performed a complex of Bounce Press and Rebound Pushups to enhance upper body explosive strength and a similar complex for the lower body with box squats and standing triple jumps. Next, Lacerda did Snatch Grip RDLs and Yates Row to strengthen his entire posterior chain. The session was completed with a 10 minute Special Physical Preparedness circuit utilizing different drills with the Prowler, tire flips (partial range), band resisted double leg takedowns, sandbag throws and Grappler twists, each explosive drill was interspersed with 30 seconds of either abdominal training, sprawls or static chinup holds. Along with Lacerda in this training session were several other Brown and Black belt competitors. Juggernaut is the go-to facility for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors to improve their performance…
